After finishing with 2 great workshops at Trak Shak Birmingham we headed to Fleet Feet Huntsville this afternoon in the rain and thunderstorms.

Barbara, the ASICS rep was there again for customers to test out ASICS shoes on the fun run, but there were few brave enough to head out into the thunderstorms.

We ended up getting a great turnout, over 30 women, for the RunSafer workshop considering the crappy weather. The women were great participants too, all ready with their safety names!

Thanks to Steve and Jill of Fleet Feet for your help during the night.

Headed back to Jacksonville, Florida tonight through the mountainous, curvy roads of Alabama I wanted to give everyone a safety tip while driving in such situations. If you are driving alone in a secluded area and someone bumps your car do not pull over and get out of the car until you get to a populated area, such as a gas station. There have been many accidents where attackers have purposely bumped someone's car just to get them out in the open alone to assualt them. Always remember to go with your gut!

Big thanks to Todd, Lindsey and Asics for presenting the RunSafer work shop at Fleet Feet Huntsville. This workshop was very informative and the ladies had some great feedback. There were several positive comments on Facebook from those who attended last night. For any of you folks that run alone, this is a must see event. It was great to have Todd back in the store...running legend, and soon to be Run Safer legend. We would love to have another workshop later this year.

This program was fantastic! I'm not overstating the importance of Todd and Lindsey's time with us when I write that I do believe what they taught us in 60 short minutes could save someone's life. I think this program should be offered in every high school in the country, and not just to the cross country team but to the whole student body. Next time you're in town, I want every one of my friends and running mates to attend. THANK YOU!

Thanks Todd, Lindsey, and Asics for putting together such an informative clinic and taking the time to stop by Fleet Feet Sports in Huntsville. We had a great time while learning several techniques that could potentially save our lives if we found ourselves in these dangerous situations. We received nothing but positive feedback and would love to have you guys back for another RunSafer clinic if you are ever close to the area!
